Volcanic bowls have a rubbed-back glaze that is both smooth and rough
at the same time. Inside they are smooth and shiny - white or turquoise.

Some are small, say 10cm long - I call these volcanic oysters. Medium and large bowls are up to 40cm long, 25 cm high and wide.
